Hedychium gardnerianum
Common name: Kahili Ginger

Hedychium gardnerianum, also known as kahili ginger, blooms in the summer and fall.  The salmon colored blooms are found at the end of the 4 to 8 ft. stems. This ginger is a bit more hardy than most, surviving winters  to zone 7.
