Hedychium coronarium
Common name: White Butterfly Ginger

Hedychium coronarium is commonly called White Butterfly Ginger because the blooms strongly resemble a white butterfly. As with most Hedychiums, this ginger is quite wonderfully fragrant and you will find yourself leaning over to take a long strong whiff every time you pass by while this extraordinary flower is in bloom.
