Alpinia
zerumbet Alpinia zerumbet, otherwise known as Shell Ginger, gets its
common name from the blooms that resemble a strand of soft pink shells
with a darker pink tip.
This
tall ginger will grow 6 to 10 ft. high, depending on the conditions. The
photo below shows the very early stages in a mild Florida winter. |
