1. WELCOME This is the entrance to my front garden in Florida. I moved here 4 years ago from Atlanta and I brought much of my garden with me, which will explain my many references to friends there. The cement posts came from Elizabeth Turk in Atlanta and the red tile stepping stones were once part of the front porch of my long time next door neighbor and good friend Mary Gardner Youngblood. Mary died in the prime of her life at the age of 87 and remained a true gardener to the end. One day I came home for lunch to find her sitting in her garden on an old bucket pulling weeds with her nurse standing by her side. |
